5. Meet with one of our participating physicians of the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas to certify your diagnosis and determine whether the potential benefits of the medical use of low-THC cannabis outweigh the risks.

Question: Can you get a medical prescription for marijuana in Texas? Answer: Yes, a person can be registered in the Texas Compassionate Use Program by a TCUP-registered medical provider as long as the patient qualifies under the qualifying conditions set out under Texas law.
Question: Can you get a medical marijuana card in Texas for pain? Answer: Pain itself is not a qualifying condition that is permittable to the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT). However, pain can be a symptom associated with one of the approved qualifying conditions; Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Autism, Cancer, Dementia, Epilepsy, Seizure Disorder, Incurable Neurodegenerative Diseases, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), & Spasticity (Muscle Spasms).

Question: Does anxiety qualify for medical marijuana in Texas? Answer: Answer: Anxiety itself is not a qualifying condition that is permittable into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT). However, anxiety can be a symptom associated with one of the qualifying conditions mentioned above, especially PTSD.
